Our client operates a stunning wilderness property known for some of nature’s finest landscapes and views and complemented by its hospitality and focus on fresh local produce.  

This iconic property enables discerning guests to enjoy a unique nature-based experience, escape the hustle and bustle of city life and indulge and relax in quality accommodation, enjoy fine food and commune with nature.

The resort offers a range of luxury accommodation, dining that showcases local ingredients, spa & recreation facilities and much, much more – all you would expect in a quality luxury property.

They now seek a Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of this fabulous property.

The ideal candidate will most likely be an existing Financial Controller, Director of Finance or perhaps and Assistant FC ready for their next step.

  • A background in hotels would be most suitable, but certainly a detailed knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry is essential.
  • The position will oversee a small team and be responsible for all aspects of the finance and accounting function, including management and financial reporting, budgeting, purchasing, credit control, cash flow management, payroll and so on…
  • You should have tertiary qualifications in Finance and accounting – someone CPA qualified would be highly regarded.
  • You will have a wide knowledge of computerised accounting systems - a detailed knowledge of Excel, MYOB and hotel property management systems would be particularly useful.
  • You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to provide advice and support to the management team and department heads.

The position will be based in a regional office in Tasmania (not on property) so would be suitable for those with families.
